“Like Worcester Park” Business Improvement District Ballot
15 Nov 2018
Businesses at Worcester Park have a unique opportunity to set up a Business Improvement District (BID) that could see over £200,000 invested in the area over the next five years. The Worcester Park BID area covers 180 businesses with a combined rate-able value of £3 million. The vote to establish a BID for Worcester Park is now formally open. Businesses need to complete and return their ballot papers by post to Sutton Council Electoral Services by 5 pm on 22nd November 2018.
Sutton is home to three Business Improvement Districts and is delighted to support the fourth one at Worcester Park. The Opportunity Sutton Programme Team has worked collaboratively over the past year with the Worcester Park traders, local stakeholders, and the Like Worcester Park BID Team to support their ambitions.
A strong, representative, and effective business voice is vital for Worcester Park to operate to its fullest potential. BIDs allow the business community to act together to improve their operating environment, attract additional investment, and provide a unique opportunity to invest in their area where it matters the most in partnership with the public sector. Our promise is to work with the BID Board in ensuring the coordination across all services.
