Local Job Opportunities and Apprenticeships
The London Borough of Sutton is home to over 8,200 businesses, and we believe that apprenticeships can play an important part in the local economy by improving skills and driving productivity.
An apprenticeship enables an individual to study for a work-based qualification that can significantly improve their skills and career enjoyment.
For current vacancies at Sutton Council, please visit the Council website Jobs and Careers page here.
Information for Businesses – Apprenticeship Levy
In Spring 2017 the way the government funds apprenticeships changed. Some employers will now be required to contribute to the cost of training for apprentices and larger employers will be subject to the full costs through the Apprenticeship Levy: The levy requires all employers operating in the UK, with a pay bill over £3 million each year, to invest in apprenticeships.
For help and advice about how this might affect your business, contact Candice.McCausland@Sutton.gov.uk.
