Beddington Village – 20MPH Speed Limit

Minor works will be undertaken in November/December along Hilliers Lane and Beddington Lane in advance of the implementation of the 20mph speed limit in Beddington Village.

The signs that are being installed at the start and end of the 20mph speed limit area need to be externally lit as a legal requirement.  This will involve the installation of two posts; one of the posts will be installed in the Hilliers Lane area and the other will be installed towards ASDA/Marlowe Way.  The posts for these signs are being installed in advance of the main 20mph limit works as the council needs to arrange electrical connections to them.

Two additional signs will be installed on lamp columns which already have an electricity source to power the sign lighting units that will be needed.
